English Championship Picks for Today and Tomorrow

Date: 25/1 Match: Luton vs Bristol City
Win Bet: Teams will Score
Tip: Having watch Luton line up against Bournemouth a couple of games ago I was surprised with their firepower up top. They look to be a side that can score at will and their fans certainly add a vociferous environment when they are playing at home. Both sides are in scoring form with Luton scoring 9 in their last 5 matches and Bristol scoring a solid 11 although conceding 15. Could be a high-scoring match this one. Plenty of betting options.
Date: 25/1 Match: QPR vs Swansea
Win Bet: QPR Win
Tip: QPR have hit another streak of form since Christmas and have picked up 12 points in their last available 15 against Swansea’s 4 in their last available 15. Going away to Loftus Road will be a tough journey for Swansea who hover in mid table some 13 points away from play off positions. Swansea did win their last away game in 2020 against QPR but with QPR’s aspirations to be playing in the EPL next season they have come into form at the right time and should have too much for lowly Swansea.
Date: 24/1 Match: Blackburn vs Middlesborough
Win Bet: Under 2.5 Goals
Tip: Blackburn host Middlesborough in a heavyweight clash in the Championship today. Both teams are in form with Blackburn having taken 10 points from their last available 15. Middlesborough, despite taking 13 points from their last available 15 sit precariously outside the play-off positions currently. These two sides have not produced over 2.5 goals in their last 5 meetings and with a combined conceding average of only 5 in 10 games between them this looks to be a tight affair.

English Premier League Picks for Today and Tomorrow

Date: 22/1 Match: Man United vs West Ham
Win Bet: Both teams will score
Tip: Defensively Man United have been fragile, despite returning Varane. West Ham, have been agile, scoring goals but conceding a substantial amount also. I cannot remember a season where West Ham have scored more goals than Man United at this stage of the season but it happening now! West Ham have at least 2 goals in their last 5 matches and Man United ran out 1-3 winners against Brentford this week.
Date: 22/1 Match: Leicester vs Brighton
Win Bet: Under 2.5 Goals
Tip: There have been under 2.5 goals scored in 10 of Brighton’s last 11 matches and today they head to Leicester against a side that they have not beaten in 10 of their last 11 meetings. Brighton have only been defeated once in their last 10 matches in the EPL and look in good shape, although they have not been entirely convincing going forward.
Date: 22/1 Match: Everton vs Aston Villa
Win Bet: Over 2.5 Goals
Tip: Everton have failed to record a win in 12 of their last 13 games and have replaced manager Rafa Benitez with interim manager Duncan Ferguson. Usually, a new manager can have an uplifting feel to a struggling side so perhaps today they will be an unknown quantity against Villa. Despite Villa being undefeated in 5 of their last meetings with Everton, today things could be different on the money line. Over 2.5 goals seems a good bet with Villa conceding at least 2 goals in 5 of their last EPL games and this fixture producing over 2.5 goals in 7 of the last 8 games.
Date: 22/1 Match: Leeds vs Newcastle
Win Bet: Both Teams to Score
Tip: Newcastle have scored at least 2 goals against Leeds in 8 of their last matches against Leeds away. And Leeds have conceded 2 goals in 5 of their last 6 EPL matches. Newcastle, going through a transition currently, under new ownership, have stuttered with expectancy, regardless will look to pick up a result against EPL new boys – still both teams scoring is a very likely event today.
Date: 21/1 Match: Southampton vs Man City
Win Bet: Over 1.5 Goals by Halftime
Tip: Man City, undefeated in 11 of their last 12 matches should control this game comfortably. They have been tight at the back, keeping a clean sheet in 5 of their last 7 matches in the EPL but Southampton have kept a clean sheet in their last 7 matches. Man City, will be a threat regardless, as they are able to pick apart defences with their creative midfield and forward line. I believe Southampton could score but if Man City score early, as they have shown time and again, they will continue scoring as Southampton chase the game.

Carabao Cup Picks for Today and Tomorrow

Date: 20/1 Match: Arsenal vs Liverpool
Win Bet: Liverpool Win
Tip: Liverpool have been in electric form this season and the absence of Mo Salah and Mane to the African Nations Tournament hardly affected them on the weekend running out 3-0 winners against Brentford. Arsenal, conversely, have been picking up results of late but have failed to beat Liverpool in their last five meetings. It could be a bit of a stalemate but I expect Liverpool to run out winners in this game given the confidence in the side.

English Premier League Picks for Today and Tomorrow

Date: 21/1 Match: Watford vs Norwich
Win Bet: Both teams to score
Tip: Watford and Norwich are both struggling for life in the EPL this season. Norwich, the leagues worst goal scorers have picked up 3 points in their last 5 matches unlike Watford who have only managed one. One thing is for sure, this will be a battle and both teams will have to have the foot on the gas to take something from this game in a relegation scrap that demands goals for either side or they can kiss good bye to life in the EPL.
Date: 19/1 Match: Leicester City vs Tottenham
Win Bet: Both teams to score
Tip: Tottenham have been in good form of late and will approach the Leicester away game full of confidence. Jamie Vardy is absent and is expected to be replaced by Daka. Harry Kane has scored 15 goals against Leicester historically and will be looking to increase his haul against a side that has averaged conceding almost 2 a game this season.
Date: 19/1 Match: Brentford vs Man United
Win Bet: Over 1.5 Goals in the first Half
Tip: Man United have been prone to conceding goals this season and have struggled in games they are expected to win. Brentford, are adjusting to life in the EPL pretty well and have shown some good performances against some of the country’s top sides. Brentford have conceded 21 goals in the first half this season, a league high, and will struggle to contain the infamous Ronaldo as he is likely to start.
Date: 13/1 Match: Liverpool vs Arsenal
Win Bet: Over 2.5 Match Goals
Tip: Liverpool have been outstanding at home this season, remaining unbeaten after 14 games in all competitions (W10, D4), but the absence of crucial forwards Salah and Mane is concerning. However, the goals markets stand out, and over 2.5 goals appears to be a solid selection for our major wager. At least three goals have been scored in nine of Liverpool’s previous ten home games in all competitions, and in five of their last six overall. Over 2.5 goals have been scored in four of Arsenal’s past five away games and five of their last six away games, and there are always plenty of goals when these two sides meet – with seven of their last nine encounters in all competitions producing at least three goals.
Date: 12/1 Match: Tottenham Hotspur vs Chelsea
Win Bet: Both Teams to Score
Tip: Tottenham did not offer much offensively in the first leg, but they are a much better side at home, and they have developed much since Chelsea won 3-0 in North London in September. Antonio Conte’s men have netted in each of their previous eight home matches, with at least two goals in each of those contests. However, they have kept only one clean sheet in their last four visits to North London, while Chelsea have been in fine scoring form — failing to score in just one of their last 23 matches across all competitions.
Date: 12/1 Match: West Ham United vs Norwich
Win Bet: West Ham United to Win
Tip: West Ham’s Carabao Cup campaign finished last month, but the Hammers are now competing on three fronts following Sunday’s 2-0 victory against Leeds. That was their third consecutive victory, and the run has propelled the Hammers into fifth place, only a point below a Champions League place. The Hammers have scored nine goals during their winning run, and confidence appears to be returning to David Moyes’ side. After a rough time, Michail Antonio has scored or assisted in each of his previous four appearances. After scoring all four goals in the pair’s previous meeting, back the striker for another goal in this clash.
Date: 11/1 Match: Southampton vs Brentford
Win Bet: Southampton to Win
Tip: Southampton were held to a 1-1 draw at home by in-form Tottenham on the previous matchday. Additionally, they were unbeaten in ten of their last thirteen games overall, and they are riding a six-game unbeaten streak at home. Indeed, they have lost only twice at home since March. Brentford, on the other hand, did win 2-1 at home last week against Aston Villa. Prior to that, they were on a three-game losing streak and had lost ten of their previous fourteen overall matches. Additionally, they are on a five-match losing streak on the road, and have kept just one clean sheet on the road this season. Finally, they are a newly promoted team to the Premier League and are ill-equipped to consistently compete with established sides here; thus, expect a hard-fought victory for Southampton.

English FA Cup Picks for Today and Tomorrow

Date: 10/1 Match: Manchester United vs Aston Villa
Win Bet: Over 2.5 Goals Prediction
Tip: Our prediction for this matchup is that at least three goals will be scored. In this wager, Aston Villa’s form speaks for itself, with three of their last five games going beyond the 2.5-goal mark. Man United’s form for over 2.5 goals is a little less evident, but it still convinces us; only two of their previous five home games have gone over three goals, but their game average has been 2.6 in that time. Three of the two clubs’ last five games at Old Trafford have concluded with a score greater than 2.5.
Date: 11/1 Match: Everton vs Leicester City
Win Bet: Over 2.5 Goals Prediction
Tip: If Leicester were fully fit, an away win would be the obvious choice here, but with so many important players missing, the goals markets appear to be the best option, with over 2.5 goals looking like a solid starting point. Everton may have won only one of their past 13 games in all competitions, but scoring has not been an issue, as they have scored one or more goals in each of their last six games, with five of those games including over 2.5 goals. Leicester have scored in each of their previous ten games and have scored three or more goals in ten of their last eleven, so over 2.5 goals appears to be a strong main bet.
Date: 9/1 Match: Liverpool vs Shrewsbury
Win Bet: Liverpool to Win & Over 2.5 Match Goals
Tip: The Shrews have only won three games away from home this season, and two of those victories came in cup competitions against lower league opponents, while they have lost nine of their 12 league visits. Liverpool will make sweeping changes but still field a team that they believe can win the game, and I expect a few big names to be on the bench just in case things don’t go according to plan. The Reds are a short price to win the game, so a home win with over 2.5 goals looks like a good bet for a bit extra value.

English FA Cup Picks for Today and Tomorrow

Date: 9/1 Match: Tottenham Hotspur vs Morecambe
Win Bet: Over 2.5 Tottenham Goals
Tip: Tottenham has only lost two home games in all competitions this season, with six victories and one tie in their past seven games in North London. They may field a much-changed lineup on Sunday, but they can still win with plenty of margin against a Morecambe team that struggles on the road. In League One, the Shrimps have lost eight of their eleven road games, conceding an average of 2.45 goals per game. Morecambe have lost five of their past seven away games, all by two or more goals – including a 5-0 thrashing at Sunderland – therefore we’re supporting Tottenham to win and score over 2.5 goals.
Date: 9/1 Match: West Ham United vs Leeds United
Win Bet: West Ham United to Win
Tip: West Ham have won their last three games against Leeds, including a 2-1 league victory at Elland Road in September, and they appear to be in good shape to make it four in a row on Sunday. The Hammers come into this game having won back-to-back games against Watford and Crystal Palace, snapping a five-game losing streak in which they scored seven goals. Leeds have only won one game in all competitions inside 90 minutes this season, and that victory came at bottom-placed Norwich, and they’ve lost five of their nine Premier League away games.
Date: 9/1 Match: Charlton vs Norwich City
Win Bet: Charlton to Win
Tip: Norwich City are having a horrible season in the Premier League and will be aiming to turn things around in the FA Cup third round against League One Charlton on Sunday. The Canaries had a brief upswing following Dean Smith’s arrival, collecting five points from their first three games under the new manager, but their form has since plummeted. Norwich have lost their previous five games, surrendering 14 goals while failing to score themselves, and the Addicks appear to be fantastic value to win this weekend.
Date: 8/1 Match: Newcastle vs Cambridge United
Win Bet: Newcastle United to Win
Tip: Newcastle have only won once since Eddie Howe took over in November, but a five-game winning streak at home shows they are starting to turn the corner. The Magpies have scored in all but two of their last nine top-flight matches at St James’ Park, and are desperate to start stringing together a run of victories. This fixture may provide the ideal occasion to do so. Since losing on penalties to Bournemouth in the fourth round of the FA Cup in 1992, Newcastle has not been knocked out by a team from the third tier or lower.
Date: 8/1 Match: Wigan vs Blackburn Rovers
Win Bet: Double Chance – Wigan Draw No Bet
Tip: When it comes to FA Cup triumphs, the 2012/13 Wigan victory under Roberto Martinez comes to mind. They made history by becoming the first team to win the FA Cup and subsequently be relegated in the same season, and they’ve since knocked out six Premier League teams and taken Arsenal to penalties. When it comes to the former, Wigan are known for being ‘giant killers’ in this league and are one of the teams keeping the magic alive. Not only that, but they’re soaring in League One as they try to reclaim their place in the second tier, and they’ll be well rested thanks to their multiple COVID postponements.
Date: 8/1 Match: Bristol City vs Fulham
Win Bet: Both Teams To Score
Tip: Following a run of three games that ended 1-0 or 2-0, each of Bristol City’s four matches so far have been far more entertaining, with the team that scored first failing to win three of them. In fact, in each of Bristol’s last four games, a game-leading player has failed to finish the game, similar to three of visiting Fulham’s last four games. Only one of the last 11 visiting teams has kept Bristol from scoring, and Fulham was one of the teams to be punished by a Robins goal in a 1-1 draw in September.
Date: 8/1 Match: Yeovil vs Bournemouth
Win Bet: Bournemouth to Win
Tip: We could discuss the optics of both sides, but what would the point be? Bournemouth are clearly the superior side, and anything less than a comprehensive victory would be regarded as making a mockery of the situation. We wholeheartedly concur with that sentiment and predict the Cherries to win by at least three goals. They recently defeated Cardiff and QPR in the Championship, while Yeovil have conceded five goals in their last two National League outings. Even with a few tweaks in the lineup, it should be a formality for Bournemouth.
Date: 7/1 Match: Swindon vs Manchester City
Win Bet: Both Teams To Score
Tip: Swindon Town are fighting for promotion in League Two and are averaging 1.55 goals per game. Town will
want to put on a show in front of their own fans as well as the television cameras on Friday night, so expect them
to constantly attack even if they are a goal down. The visitors have the strongest defense in the Premier League,
but they have conceded in seven of their last 11 matches in all competitions, and this is a much-changed
Manchester City lineup. Last season, in a 3-1 fourth-round win over Cheltenham, City conceded against League
Two opposition, and in the next round, they conceded against Championship side Swansea.
